Needled Egg Ornament

We are using the needle felting technique for this craft. We have previously shown how to make simple shapes using the needling technique. You can learn more here

1. Start by setting up everything you need.

2. Start by taking wool roving of your choice (here we have used blue color).

(Tips: Use of finger guide and needle pad will help you)

Roving of wool

3. Take wool as per your need. Always start with less wool and add wool gradually to ensure your end product won’t be too large.

4. Begin needling the wool and give them an egg shape with your hand.

Felt

5. Remember to poke wool vertically. Poking wool sideways will break your felting needle.

6. Make sure your egg is in perfect shape and if not keep on adding and poking the wool.

Felt Felt

7. Your needle egg must be tight, firm, and clean with no extra wool fuzz.

8. If wool is coming out and looking fuzzy, stab more to make it look smooth.

9. Your easy needle felted egg is ready for your Easter decoration.
